Came here for brunch which was much better than the tasting menu for dinner that I tried the first time! We came around 11am on a Sunday and were seated right away as a group of 3. I tried the ebikatsu and crab cake benedicts. We also got the ube mochi waffle. All the dishes we got were pretty good and cute! The portions were also big. The lattes didn't taste like anything though so would not recommend.

Came here with my friends for the first time and had a great experience! Came in and the ambiance was modern and chic! Welcomed by servers who were very nice. They gave us good recommendations which was nice! We ordered so many food the highlights for me where the wild mushrooms truffle, short rib poutine, the ebikatsu sando and the mochi waffle. Felt like I named everything on there but it was very good! Every plate was just so flavorful. You can't go wrong with either dish and I definitely want to come back for dinner!

I had the best brunch at Soho Modern Japanese Restaurant! I chose the Truffle Lobster Egg Benedict and the Short Rib Poutine, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. The truffle lobster egg Benedict was a decadent treat. The lobster was fresh and well cooked, and the thick truffle hollandaise added an incredible depth of flavor. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, and the entire meal was nicely presented. The Short Rib Poutine was comfort food at its best! The short ribs were juicy and delicious, drenched in rich gravy, served over crispy fries, and topped with melted cheese curds. Each bite was an ideal combination of flavors and textures. The environment was elegant and welcoming, and the staff was attentive and courteous. This restaurant is a hidden gem for brunch enthusiasts! I can't wait to return and sample more of their incredible products. Highly recommended!

beautiful brunch location!! we went on a wednesday so there wasn't as many people compared to the weekend! it was a nice and calm bunch with such an elegant ambiance. the interior decor is absolute luxury!! the service here was also so accommodating and nice. i got the butterfly pea cotton candy tea latte! if you're in a mood for a sugary sweet drink, you will LOVE!!! it was delicious!! also love that it came with marshmallows on top too!! it was basically cotton candy cereal milk. i also got the ikura shiso crab cake eggs benedict which was savory goodness! the crab cakes were moist and crispy which paired well with the yuzu hollandaise sauce and ikura. the ikura gave a nice crunch too in between bites. the side salad was a pleasant surprise. i love the lemony vinaigrette with the salad which was refreshing. the salad also paired well with my eggs benedict. we also got the mochi waffle to share! the presentation of the dish was pretty! the waffle was also nice and fluffy. overall, everything was amazing! not only was our food beautiful but also delicious! we will definitely come back for more!

Came here for brunch. The feel is definitely giving such a cool intimate vibe. We went right when it opened and were greeted and seated very promptly. I have always heard rave reviews so we were super excited. We started with the blushing bae cocktail which was made with rum sake and lychee. Not overly sweet but super yummy. We got the short rib poutine, chicken and croffles, crab cake Benedict and the ebi tamago sando. All of which were well balanced very tasty and a good fusion of Japanese and American flavors. The serving was good although the chicken and croffles can be for 2 people. I highly recommend this place especially finding it in Fremont was such a delight

Got their omakase set and it was such a great experience. One of the more affordable omakases in the Bay Area and it was a great experience as well as great value! We went later in the evening, and the ambiance was just perfect. It wasn't too crowded nor loud, which makes it easy to enjoy the company and have great conversations. The service was amazing as well. Our waitress, Zoe, was super sweet and attentive! Definitely going to be a go-to omakase for me! Can't wait to visit again!

Review for 8/24/24 I came here for the Chef's tasting summer menu which was 6 courses and it did not disappoint! We came in for our reservation at 6pm and got seated right away. It gave a calm atmosphere with dim lights and a very modern style restaurant. We were given complimentary shots before our food came in and we decided to order some drinks including the Pineapple coconut mocktail, Tokyo mule, and May flower. I enjoyed their 4 modern sashimi the most. The toro tartare (bluefin tuna) and shiromi kaki carpaccio (seasonal white fish) stood out the most. The dishes also came out very demure, very presentable, and our server was very mindful and attentive. To end off with dessert, we were given a drink to cleanse off our palate. Then came the dessert Ichigo to Daichi no Pan'nakotta. It's Lychee panna cotta with lychee bits, mixed berries, and strawberry coulis. it was so GOOD, but too bad they edit their menu often where it would most likely not be back. I hella wanna come back to try all their beer, cocktail, and specially their Belgian syphon coffee. Their small plates and breakfast menu looks very appetizing too! There's so much to try.
